Homework – Practising our learning outside of school
Practising our learning helps us use our skills better. As a result, children will be set tasks outside of school and appropriate to their age and ability. These tasks may include:
- Regular reading (at least 4 times a week)
- Spelling practise of keywords or spelling patterns
- Times table rock stars or Numbots
- Short writing tasks
- Other tasks linked to the curriculum
Children’s practise/tasks outside of school will be valued and rewarded. Tasks will not be overwhelming or time consuming but if you have any concerns please talk to your teacher.
